Hallowed ground here at the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville commemorating 25 years since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
This sacred land honors the Americans who fought back to prevent another, larger attack. The precise timing of the wreath layings marked the times of each attack in New York City, Arlington, Virginia, and Shanksville.
May we never forget the thousands of innocent lives we lost that day, and always remember the selfless actions of our first responders, volunteers, and military in the days after.
