As Sonic evolves, so do our marketing efforts. We were already leaning this way internally, and your feedback sealed it. Here is what is changing, and why.
The main number to understand is utilization. Utilization shows how much of the supplied liquidity is currently borrowed. Formula: Utilization = Total Borrowed / Total Supplied If $100M is supplied and $60M is borrowed, utilization is 60%.

A borrower may deposit $S as collateral and borrow USDC against it. They pay interest on the borrowed USDC. That borrow interest is what creates yield for USDC suppliers, after protocol parameters are applied.
When you supply USDC to a lending market, you are not lending to one specific borrower. You are adding USDC to a shared pool. Borrowers can borrow from that pool if they provide enough collateral.

How lending markets work on Sonic and in DeFi. Most users look at the APY first. But behind that number, supplier yield usually comes from one simple source: Borrowers paying interest to use the assets supplied by others. 🧵

Performance is only one part of the equation. Sonic’s Nakamoto Coefficient is now 5. A more distributed validator set makes the network more resilient over time. 👇
Fast is good. Fast and decentralized is even better On Sunday, @SonicLabs's Nakamoto Coefficient increased 25%, wrapping up the weekend with even stronger decentralization It now takes 5 independent entities colluding to compromise the network 📊

ftUSD on Sonic can be minted via USDC or USSD, with 7.08% APY. Flying Tulip Lend processed 30+ stressed liquidations this week. Soft liquidations make the process less destructive. Instead of forcing a full unwind, Lend sells only the collateral needed to restore account health. 👇

Flying Tulip Weekly Update: June 26 This week, Lend processed 30+ stressed liquidations. RFQ-based soft liquidations sold collateral required to restore account health, with an average haircut below 1% and near dollar-for-dollar debt repayment. Broader market turbulence not bothering ftPUT holders who retain the option to redeem original capital. Secondary-market impact also remained limited, with token buybacks trending higher. Lend TVL held at $9.13M, while total ftUSD supply increased to $3.76M — On Ethereum, mint ftUSD with USDC or USDT, stake and earn 13.94% APY. On Sonic, mint with USDC or USSD, stake and earn 7.08% APY. No lockups — mint, stake, and unstake at any time. More stats in reply 👇

Good to see Sonic leading SODAX volume this week. For the other source networks, the important part is still the same: activity routes through SODAX, with Sonic as the hub coordinating and settling those flows.
