"7 of the top 10 DeFi protocols would face a massive capital exodus... to me, that blows up DeFi..." - @MikeSilagadze
Stake targeting is good 👍 This increases the moniness of ETH and protects the value of vanilla ETH over staking derivatives. ETH is more money
Listen to this episode. @CremeDeLaCrypto and @alekslarsen from Blockchain Capital have an incredible ability to stay locked in on crypto's main questlines Spencer and Aleks have clarity on where crypto is going, and why its bullish. And it's all so much more simple than the noise of CT makes it out to be Really a fantastic episode

Honest question: What would stop anyone from just flipping these groceries? Buy up all the inventory at 30% less than retail, then sell it at 10% less than retail? Especially canned/packaged goods? Kinda seems like a taxpayer-funded arb opportunity ... Has this not occurred to any of them??

The model itself doesn't censor the question. But if you ask the model via Moonshot as provider, it is their company filter that is blocking it, not the model. Thus Venice's version of Kimi K3 is superior to Moonshot's own version of Kimi K3 because a) we don't add a layer of censorship on top and b) we implement some light system prompting to encourage models to be more open-minded, shall we say (and we allow users to even turn off our system prompt or change it to whatever they want).

Building @Lighter_xyz meant pulling off a high-risk pivot in one of the worst markets imaginable, says @vnovakovski “It was not easy. We didn’t think it was a sure thing that we could succeed with the pivot.” “We wouldn’t have been able to do that without VCs supporting the pivot.” “We tested three different ideas. Lighter was the one that was the best, and we kept building.” ethereum:0x232ce3bd40fcd6f80f3d55a522d03f25df784ee2

Kimi K3 made everyone realize how shitty of a business model training is OAI & Anthropic bear the (very large) expense of training models. Then, Chinese Labs distill and open weight them. Venice doesn’t care. Venice sells the models either way Nice position to have

I asked @JonShapeShift about the release of Kimi K3 and the conversation that's been sparked about how model economics impacts @venice's businesses TLDR: Venice doesn't care who trains the models, or how expensive it is. Venice sells models regardless. "From Venice's position, [the fight to train the best model] is not the fight that we have chosen... for very good reasons... because we don't want to get into the race to the bottom of spending all this money training"

This is basically how socialism and communism bootstraps itself The tendency for politicians to make promises to the many by extracting from the few is too tempting “We give you free social services, and you keep on electing us” But of course, those in power inevitably become corrupt and the system locks itself in place, as all the capitalists move elsewhere or are jailed. Many such cases. This is why Milei in Argentina is such an incredible case study in a society trying to pry themselves out of the black hole of anti-capitalist Peronism, and why Argentina is such a good ally to have as nature heals down there.

Question from the $VVV telegram: "With annual emissions still exceeding current VVV burns, what's the realistic path towards VVV becoming net deflationary? @JonShapeShift: "...We do have a stated goal of VVV becoming a deflationary asset over time. So far I think all of our actions have marched right towards that. We've gone from at launch 14,000,000 in VVV in emissions a year to now 3,000,000 in VVV. So it's been a significant reduction." "The burns have been coming up on the other side especially as the business grows. We're just gonna keep doing the things we've been saying that we're going to do, In order to march towards deflation, that means emissions need to come down further and that and burns have to go up higher." "People should expect emissions to keep dropping and they should expect burns to keep growing. And at some point, burns will exceed emissions, and that's when we have a deflationary asset. We're not there yet. But I fully expect that we will get there kind of sooner than later without giving an exact timeframe."

The Venice team has been teasing 'Minds' lately, so @TrustlessState asks "What are Minds?" @JonShapeShift: "Minds are custom AI experiences" "We have a subset of really strong power users that understand these models really well. They're really good at chaining these things together in such a way, using system prompts in certain ways, to create a toolset that lets them get a much better output from the same prompt, versus just giving it to a kind of naked model without any of these things. And so we're creating tools for users to create these experiences and then potentially even to monetize them. And we think in many ways this is going to become one of the more popular ways for people to use AI and that there will likely only be a small subset of these kind of power users who kind of become creators, although we're trying to make the tools easy enough for them to create whatever they can and they want. But that a ton of consumers will be very interested in this as kind of our thesis, that they will want to use these custom experiences because they will get a substantially better output."
