A Russian drone striking a logistics facility serving McDonald’s is yet another clear sign that Moscow has no interest in peace.
Russia keeps attacking civilians, businesses and Ukraine’s economy in an attempt to intimidate people, disrupt everyday life and deter international companies and investors from staying engaged in Ukraine.
We cannot let that work. Ukraine needs our continued support and economic pressure on Russia must be increased. The aggressor must pay a higher price for every day it chooses to continue this war.

This is how Europe should respond to Russia: not with fear, but with action.
Russia wants to intimidate us into doing less. We must do the opposite: increase our support for Ukraine and increase the pressure on Russia.

As tradition demands, a minute on the UN lawn to let it all sink in.
More than 20,000 Ukrainian children have been forcibly deported by Russia, torn from their families and subjected to efforts to erase their Ukrainian identity.
At an event co-hosted by Estonia on the sidelines of #UNGA81#, I stressed that those responsible must be held accountable.
The Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression must become operational to hold those responsible for launching this war to account and deter future aggressors.

We pushed for stronger cooperation to protect undersea infrastructure, counter Russia’s shadow fleet and uphold freedom of navigation.
Safe seas depend on international law being respected everywhere.
