This morning’s @SpaceX mission from pad 40 was the last planned Falcon 9 Starlink launch from Florida (and it launched on the fleet leading booster!!), marking the end of an era for these launches on the East Coast. From here on, Starlink missions out of Florida will fly on Starship. The West Coast team will continue regularly launching Starlink from Vandenberg.   Super proud of this incredible team. You’ve made Falcon 9 the most reliable launch vehicle in history. You also helped build the largest low-Earth orbit satellite constellation providing connectivity to millions around the world, and you’ve set the foundation for what’s next.   In the last seven years, Falcon has flown ~260 Starlink missions from the Cape… can’t wait until we launch that and many more with Starship!

Also I want to specifically shout out our Sr Director of Starship launch @jstyer. He packed his bag in 10 minutes two weeks ago and urgently hopped a flight to Australia to help lead this effort in person. He’s been on the ranger ever since and is a prime example of true @spacex leadership. The greatest generals don’t sit back to watch their team fight. They grab their sword and charge to the front. 🫡 @jstyer, we sure are lucky to have you! ❤️🚀 🎣

The @SpaceX recovery team is 1/1. While the mariners and engineers offshore literally ride the wave, a hard charging group of leaders, operators, meteorologists, engineers and supply chain work 24/7 to feed them the data and support they need to continue the mission. Deadliest catch meets Apollo 13 content coming soon 🚀 🎣 The team, the team, the team!!!!

🫡 to Booster 1069 We refer to 1069 as the OG tippy rocket. It lived a long and fruitful life after it came about as close as you can get to being lost on its first mission. On that mission, CRS-24, it landed in rough seas and immediately had severe uneven leg loads, causing it to “tip.” We spent the next two hours watching the rocket on camera literally dance from side to side on the droneship. Through the incredible skill of our @SpaceX recovery team and a decent amount of luck, we were able to pin the rocket against the droneship tow board and blast wall with the octagrabber jammed under the engines. Somehow, against all odds, the team got 1069 home. We replaced all nine engines that were damaged in the process… and then it flew another 31 successful missions!!! 🚀 Never. Give. Up.

Congratulations to @astro_anil and his Soyuz MS-29 crew on a successful launch and on their voyage to the International Space Station.  Anil has spent his entire life preparing for this moment. He is a scholar, military officer, physician, pilot, husband, father and will undoubtedly become one of the great American astronauts. I am beyond happy for him and his family that he is achieving this lifelong dream. Godspeed on the journey ahead, my friend.

The Cape Gigabay is getting closer to being ready for Starship! Teams recently installed the 420-ton crane – which we’ll use to break over and move Starships and Super Heavy boosters preparing for flight. One step closer to the Moon and Mars 🚀🚀🚀
