🚨 JORDI VISSER ON WHY TOKENIZATION IS THE MOST IMPORTANT TREND NOBODY IS FULLY PRICING IN: "You're gonna get more movement. You should be able to tokenize IP. There will be tokens attached to intellectual property. Everything that GDP doesn't measure and doesn't know how to measure that's digital will become part of the economy." On the size of what is at stake: "Fiat assets trade at about 10 times the value of all of the currency ever produced in the world. That's what the fractional reserve banking system is. When you get all mad and say 'this house of cards is gonna crumble down,' it's not. Governments can't allow it because then we have the Great Depression." On what happens instead: "The choice they've made is to inflate assets to make sure the entire market becomes financialized. Money supply will keep growing, the fiat assets will not, and the money will move into things that are going up in value." His conclusion: "I believe that will be crypto through tokenization. Tokenization is the bridge between these two worlds."

🚨 $BMNR CHAIRMAN TOM LEE ON WHERE THE ETH/BTC RATIO GOES: "I think that ratio is going to go way beyond .08. Maybe it even goes to .25. Maybe it even goes to 1. That means Ethereum is hugely undervalued." On what BitMine has built: "We've been a consistent bid. We've taken out essentially 5% of the supply of Ethereum. That is a sinkhole of liquidity that we've absorbed." On why they keep buying every week: "This is quite a lot of ETH that can be used to seed and fund and encourage a lot of DeFi future opportunities. In the next crypto cycle, there's going to be multiple tens of billions of dollars of companies stood up that are part of this new crypto financial rails system. We have an opportunity to help seed those, be involved with them, even create those."

🚨 OUR PARTNERS AT @Vetta_Fi's Director of Research @MurphyCinthia ON WHAT THE CHARTS ARE SAYING ABOUT THIS MARKET: "Fundamentally the market is strong, which is why it continues to surprise. Q2 earnings have been spectacular, pretty much every sector, across the Mag Seven and the 493." On the technical picture: "If you look at a 12-month moving average and monthly closes on the S&P 500, it's been a buy and invest signal for 16 consecutive months. The strength is there from a technical perspective." The risk she is watching: "The level of margin debt investors have right now. We've seen that leverage explode. Year to date we're 34% to 35% higher in margin debt year over year. If there is any kind of unwinding, any kind of panic, if there are any margin calls, we're gonna see that unwinding come quickly and volatility will pick up quickly." "We're just trying to balance the fundamental picture, the technical picture, and seeing where investors are putting money to work."

🚨 FUNDSTRAT GLOBAL HEAD OF TECHNICAL STRATEGY @MarkNewtonCMT ON WHY THE MARKET HELD UP DESPITE TECH SELLING OFF: "I don't see this as being one sector. When you look at what's happened with financials in recent months and healthcare, which has come back from the dead after almost 3 years of underperformance, these are really important groups. Combined they're about 25% of the market." On how tech rolled over in stages: "Technology had a big correction but the market didn't decline. It just went sideways from May until July. Software initially, then hyperscalers and Mag 7, then semis, and finally the memory space. Some of these stocks were down 20, 30, 40%, yet the market largely went sideways." Why: "Thanks to financials. Thanks to healthcare. Thanks to different parts of the market that were rallying to support things."

🚨 FUNDSTRAT GLOBAL HEAD OF TECHNICAL STRATEGY @MarkNewtonCMT ON THE AI SPENDING BOOM: "When you have companies trying like hell to raise money, you see Google trying to raise $25 to $30 billion and already spending over $200 billion on CapEx. These are extraordinary numbers. This isn't going away anytime soon." On whether it's a bubble: "I don't sense that it's a bubble. These companies are making an extraordinary amount of money. We're almost in a time like the late '90s." On the market outlook: "I expect choppiness between now and October, but in general we're still in the midst of a pretty big secular AI boom. I think it's gonna be a bullish couple of years even if it's choppy between now and the election. We're very much in a sweet spot over the next couple of years."

🚨 BITWISE CIO MATT HOUGAN ON WHY BLACKROCK IS MOVING FORWARD ON TOKENIZATION REGARDLESS OF REGULATION: "It looks like Uber. It looks like Airbnb. It looks like the early days of the internet. Consumers and companies moved ahead of the current regulatory status quo because there was demand on the other side that was obvious, and they felt they could do it in a safe and successful manner." On BlackRock specifically: "BlackRock's doing it because they feel they can do it in a compliant fashion, and they know there is demand on the other side. They know the world is moving to tokenize all assets, and they wanna be the world's largest asset manager in that world." On the domino effect: "If BlackRock is doing it, then the board of every other asset manager is asking why they're not doing it, and they will follow in a few months." His conclusion: "It's basically an inevitability. Assets want to move 24/7, 365 on a global basis. The way to do that is on chain. We're going to see all assets move on chain over the next five to ten years."

🇺🇸 BREAKING: SEC CHAIR PAUL ATKINS JUST ANNOUNCED REGULATION CRYPTO ASSETS "Today I'm excited to announce that the SEC is taking the most historic step yet to modernize federal securities regulations for crypto assets." On what it solves: "For too long, issuers and investors had to navigate an activist SEC weaponized against this asset class. The result has been uncertainty and inefficiency, chasing crypto asset innovation outside the United States." On the Clarity Act: "The SEC continues to support congressional work on the Clarity Act and we expect to see the bill reach the president's desk. Under our current statutory authority, we are acting. The work before us is too important." The core question it answers: "How can I raise capital to develop a crypto asset while I am still working to develop the network where it will be used?" "While Congress continues its important work, the world and our markets keep evolving. By moving forward with our current statutory authority, we can help ensure that America remains the world's premier destination to innovate, to raise capital, and to build the next generation of financial infrastructure."

TETHER CO-FOUNDER WILLIAM QUIGLEY SAYS BANKS ACCIDENTALLY CREATED THEIR OWN STABLECOIN PROBLEM The irony is that banks made crypto harder to access, then complained about the alternative that emerged: - Stablecoins make it easier to move between fiat and crypto exposure without relying on banks - Banks pushed users away by shutting down accounts or flagging crypto-related transfers - Quigley says banks now fear stablecoin yield because depositors may leave accounts that pay them little or nothing

While if you were a victim here, I understand how devastating that is, and there are steps you can take to maybe improve your situation." His framing: "This is another scuffle or battle in the war of Bitcoin and self-sovereign money. That story will continue."
