PASSED: The Committee just passed H.R. 9721, the Fiscal Sponsorship Transparency Act of 2026.
Introduced by @RepSmucker, this bill specifically addresses fiscal sponsorship and requires tax-exempt organizations to disclose certain information about the groups they are fiscally sponsoring. This will help prevent organizations from taking advantage of the lack of transparency these arrangements provide to skirt the rules and fund bad and dangerous groups.

Nearly 2 months ago, the House unanimously passed the Fostering the Future Act. As the most significant reform to the Chafee Foster Youth Program since its creation, this legislation would be a historic investment in the future of our nation’s foster youth.
