It has become abundantly clear that America’s Shenzhen *IS* being built here.
The same people saying the Marina project looks horrible will look at you in the eyes and with a straight face tell you this is a historic neighborhood that must be protected.
American anti-data-center populism is a tool of the CCP.
If you’re a politician in the middle of a political fight about data centers, pick a side. Do your duty as a leader and as an American!
This straight up gave me the chills.
God, I love this country.
There are 0 high-cost, high housing production cities in the US.
People are unironically protesting AI data centers with AI slop.
Everything is so stupid right now.
Unironically, adding a walkable coffee shop and a pub to a suburban neighborhood would make them 10x more enjoyable and dynamic.
Imagine the run-ins you’d have every morning on your walk for coffee, or spontaneous games you watch with the dads at the pub.
Sounds kinda awesome.
