At Fordham Law conference AAG of DOJ Woodward coming out swinging against antitrust federalism, states independently reviewing mergers. Claims state AGs are more politically motivated. Calls state AGs “sticking the feet in the door” and claiming illegitimate actions on behalf of state AGs. “When the federal government makes the determination that a merger is in the public interest states can’t claim they are acting in public interest”
