If we are to ask the British people to consent to and support policing we must return policing to being focused on keeping the peace, preserving life and property, preventing and detecting crime, and bringing offenders to justice.
We must restore our police to being independent and impartial. The force must be founded on the unique powers vested in the Office of Constable and it must treat everyone as equally, without fear or favour; a force with officers selected on merit and provided with outstanding professional training and in which we can all have the fullest confidence.
@RestoreBritain ‘s plan - “Restoring British Policing” - will deliver exactly that.
