Growing @ethereum and ETH @ethlabs_org | Former research & product @ethereumfndn

Spending time with @BitcoinJesusETH helped me refine an apparent trade-off: On the one hand: Ethereum and ETH are extremely unique and excel at the properties (we all know them) that make crypto's most important applications choose Ethereum as their home. On the other: Ethereum and ETH still have a lot of room for improvement. We are only just onboarding the world to Ethereum. Every day we at @ethlabs_org ask how to best improve and market the properties only Ethereum has to iteratively improve and onboard the world.

@eli_schein @ethlabs_org Ethereum's artist community is very important. Let's explore how to grow it! (Thanks for the intro @0x1_0NE)
We just announced Ethlabs (@ethlabs_org). Its mission is stewarding the growth of Ethereum and ETH. Here is why I decided to stay in Ethereum after four years at the Foundation. We are at the moment Ethereum was built for. Adoption is here. Blokchains are being adopted as the most efficient financial rails and the traction of the very innovative financial services built on Ethereum, is accelerating fast. Ethereum is best positioned to become the base layer for worldwide finance. It is unrivaled in credible neutrality, permissionlessness, and robustness. The core protocol is now steadily increasing its throughput and speed to meet demand. Ethereum’s application layer has the largest developer base and most institutional adoption. The contest now is on product and growth: improve user and dev experience and bring Ethereum’s apps and assets to more people. At Ethlabs, I will focus on growth by: - Supporting Ethereum’s builders. - Improving infra and standards for devs, builders, and institutions. - Increasing distribution for Ethereum’s apps and assets. Throughout setting up Ethlabs it is incredible to see how much support we have gotten. So many of us want Ethereum and ETH to succeed. Largely thanks to the ecosystem’s size, force, and culture, it is now positioned to be an enormous improvement to the global financial system. That’s why I’m staying in Ethereum and that’s the work I want to do. Interested in joining? Go to join@ethlabs.org. Today is truly an Ethereum moment, thanks to all our backers (@BitMNR, @Sharplink, @ethereumJoseph, and so many others) and the entire Ethereum ecosystem!

Forward to community
Life Update: I have decided to leave the Ethereum Foundation. I’m very grateful to have worked with so many talented and inspiring people on an incredibly important project over the past four years. I’m proud of the work we’ve done. Here are some of my personal highlights: - FOCIL. It will likely be the first multiple-proposer gadget live on any major chain. In a world where everything is financialized, my job was to prevent these proposer seats from being traded. - Fast Confirmation Rule Go-To-Market. Designed and led the GTM strategy for FCR. A new consensus rule that drops bridging time from Ethereum L1 to L2s and exchanges down to 13 seconds. - Strategy. Argued which markets Ethereum should go for and how. Trying to bring protocol design and ecosystem development closer to each other. Why did I leave? The first three years at the EF I did market design research. The last year, I focused on product and growth work (the FCR GTM and strategic work). I really enjoy that domain and want to move further in that direction. I’m taking some time to explore ideas that build on the financial infrastructure that crypto has built. I would love to catch up with friends made along the way. My DMs are open 🙂

Ethereum is getting faster. Deposit time from L1 to L2s and exchanges goes down to 13 seconds. This is the new industry standard. Rolling out in the next few months
