As 2026 progressed, so did an emotion: our everyday report was lagging its potential. Setting out to remedy that became an odyssey of its own, a story for another day. He continues: “In Feb. 2015, Weex [David Sterry] spray-painted a private key missing two characters, minted it as ‘KETF’… and dared Reddit to ‘STEAL THIS ART. CRACK ITS KEY.’ Stolen within hours.” The February 14, 2025 created Counterparty artwork is acquired by Archivist for 17 ETH from Griffin. Earlier this year and prior to collecting the work, Archivist wrote a point-of-view piece on it as part of the 24 Hours of Art Digital Art Pantheon. The collection has now seen 78.86 ETH in total volume across primary and secondary markets, with current list at 0.0534 ETH. Today it begins a two-week progression, splitting the open editions into three series - Combustion, Corruption, and Diffusion - and editions of increasing rarities, culminating in 1-of-1 works.
