There are 212 Democrats in the US House of Representatives. Recently, a pledge was circulated to House Democrats reading: "We are capitalist, not socialist." Only 10 of the 212 signed it. This tells you everything you need to know. The DSA has taken over the Democratic Party.

Will we ever be a united country again? Is it even possible at this point? It feels like the Left and Right are so far apart on key issues, I have no idea what "middle ground" would even look like. We're tough on crime. Liberals are soft on it. We want closed borders and legal immigration. Liberals welcome anyone and everyone. We stand with ICE. Liberals want them abolished. We want fair elections with voter ID. Liberals want a free-for-all (and we all know why). We want women only in women's sports. Liberals care more about being inclusive than player safety. We want the kids to be left alone. Liberals want to jam "alphabet soup" down their throats as early as possible. Again, where is the middle ground? Does it exist? If not, where do we go from here? I'm afraid of the answer.

COLORADO PARENTS TAKE NOTE: While you’re busy buying crayons & glue sticks for your child’s first day of school, parents in Roaring Fork may not know what “lessons” await their young children. The district’s “3Rs” curriculum exposes children as young as 5 to vulgar and controversial content about human sexuality—with inconsistent parental notice and insufficient opportunities to opt out. The slides below are blurred for decency on social media. But the 3Rs curriculum shows them to young children unblurred—then quizzes them on the names of the body parts. Lessons also instruct teachers to encourage young children to express “how they like to be touched” and to reject “a binary construct of gender.” By 6th grade, students are told to become “Sex Ed Sleuths” and are instructed to research sexual-education websites—with no mention of parental permission or involvement until after they finish their research. And that’s the glaring constitutional problem. Roaring Fork automatically enrolls young children in graphic, ideological lessons about human sexuality, with inconsistent notice to parents about what their children will see, and in some cases insufficient opt outs—if parents even get that chance. This isn’t just shocking and disturbing. It’s a violation of parents’ constitutional rights. Today @ADFLegal sent a letter to the school board in Roaring Fork. To avoid further action, the board should either remove this curriculum or—at the very least—change it to “opt-in” rather than “opt-out.” Exposing young children to graphic sexual content without the knowledge & guidance of their parents is both morally reprehensible and legally impermissible.

Randi Weingarten @rweingarten is outraged that private schools won’t let union bureaucrats through the door. Union-free Alpha Schools are using AI to help accelerate student learning, while the teachers union pushes to embed DEI into AI. One is focused on student achievement. The other is focused on indoctrination!
