You can now create projects in Amp with multiple repositories. When an orb spins up, the additional repositories will be checked out alongside the primary repo and the diff will show changes across all repositories.

Asking Puck on my phone to rebase all my outstanding threads against latest main, so they're ready to review after I return from dropping our kid off at school. (Failed to record my side of the convo, so it's just Puck talking here)

Amp is for humans :)
Amp co-founder @beyang says people who think coding agents will replace humans are living in a "dismal fantasy land": "There's a lot of hype around coding agents replacing humans entirely, or agents in general replacing jobs. The capabilities of agents are evolving at a fast pace, but fundamentally they still do what you ask them to do." "What is very apparent to us in using agents day to day is that human intervention, that human guidance is still essential. If anything, it's more essential. Because if you have the wrong guidance in place, the cost of going off the rails, you can very quickly rack up a ton of token cost." "The whole, this is gonna make humans obsolete thing is just way over-hyped, to the point where some folks are living in a dismal fantasy land." @AmpCode

You can now @ mention your teammates in Amp, and chat right there in the thread. Pass your orbs!
Will be on MTS Live today at 2pm PT to talk about orbs, models, and what we're seeing on the Amp team right now in terms of how building software is changing!
Puck spotting 👀 No shade to any of these tools, but branding is funny right now, because some of the cute cuddlies are also the ones running ads featuring graveyards and buildings on fire.
Which way, western worker?
Connect your remote MCPs to orbs!
Amp now allows you to connect remote MCP servers to all of your orbs, and Puck!
You can orb on your phone or orb for your phone
yesterday I shipped a new device emulation mode to amp portals, supporting emulating preferences like reduced animation, system theme, high contrast, and different viewport sizes it was a totally idle idea i orbed up while working on my main tasks, iterated and validated without having to juggle anything on my local machine. so many ideas like this are now more shippable than ever, with less friction than ever

Internet, does this exist in a form I can plug into a USB port anywhere?
Anyone that can connect me to someone to talk about Inkling at @thinkymachines?
Back to school? Back to orbin'. Students and teachers can now get Amp for $10/month.
You can fit a lot of stuff into orbs and portals. It's possible that for a lot of software, dev, CI, and prod might collapse into some sort of singularity.
what a crazy world we live in This is the full @unkeydev stack running in kubernetes in an @AmpCode orb
GitHub is down, but you don't have to use it:
Do we need a better code host... or something else?
If the code matters less, what about the code host? What about that warm fuzzy connected feeling we all got from GitHub until a couple years ago? We can bring it back. Step 1: Amp can now host your Git repositories

This is really good, you should give it a go
The world needs a way off GitHub Actions. For the past three weeks, we’ve been building an open-source compatibility layer that runs Actions workflows natively on @buildkite without changing them. Buildkite powers CI for repos where scale is table stakes. Pipelines are dynamically programmable and parallel by default, with every job running in its own environment. Test suites that take hours - or days - on other tools can fan out and finish in minutes. Actions uses a different model: static workflows, with sequential steps sharing a mutable workspace. We now transparently compile that model into our Buildkite pipelines, so teams can keep their existing workflows and actions while gaining Buildkite’s speed at scale, control and reliability. It’s early and there are rough edges, but it's already proving useful across our design partners. If you want to start shifting workloads, give it a go:
