Nobody made Chad Doerman a mental-health cause.
June 15, 2023, Ohio. He shot his sons, ages 3, 4, and 7, wounded their mother, pleaded guilty, and received three consecutive life sentences.
He told police about “bad thoughts” and needing help. Asked if he’d struggled with mental illness, he said, “I don’t know.” The defense raised insanity. Experts said he still knew it was wrong.
Where were the “system failed him” posts? Those appear only when the story is useful.
Murder is murder and should be treated harshly in all cases.
