Octavia Redmond, a 48-year-old letter carrier, was gunned down in Chicago’s West Pullman neighborhood in July 2024. The then-15-year-old got out of a stolen vehicle and shot her multiple times at close range. He later pleaded guilty to first-degree m*rder. Instead of being tried as an adult for cold-bloodedly killing a woman doing her job, he received only 5 years in juvenile detention. With good behavior, he could be back on the streets in roughly three and a half years. This is what passes for justice in too many Democrat-run cities.
