Next week it goes to balancing. Normally this is an out-of-house step, but we got our own balancing machine which lives 15ft from the engine assembly cell. So we can do it in a few hours instead of waiting weeks for a supplier

Today, we're announcing The Boom Prize: $750k in cash and $50k in Boom stock for the first American amateur-built radio controlled airplane to break the sound barrier.

The SR-71 had no onboard starter and was instead ground-started with 600hp of dual V8 Buick racing engines.

Flying Overture will be nicer than flying domestic first class—at 2x speed.
We have ~60 seats in a bigger space than Concorde had 100. Plus taller ceilings, a boarding door 10" taller (1" taller than a 737).
There will be a version with flatbeds for extra long flights too.
