Funny thing about predicting the future: people in your life can never really believe it, even once you've been proven right. Because they still have to protect the self identity of someone who was smarter than you back when you sounded crazy. You become a sort of invisible character to them, intimidating because you might be right, but you're not predictable, and no longer someone they can easily step in line behind. So they fear to listen to you at all
