I’ve taken Waymo rides in 6 cities and it’s so much worse in Austin than everywhere else. And it’s gone downhill in Austin even more recently
The Uber partnership is doing so much more harm than good. If I was CEO of Waymo I’d do whatever I had to to get out of the deal today instead of waiting till 2028.
Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Uber is purposely making the experience bad to hurt Waymo now that they realize Waymo is their competition

I’ve spent many many hours in every AV I can get my hands on and I can confidently say the Tesla Cybercab is the most enjoyable rider experience I’ve ever had
Huge props to all the amazing people at Tesla that made this happen!
The amount of people booking right now must be insane, it’s wild I’m able to get a car. Originally showed 1+ hour, after a couple minutes I got matched to a car 30 mins away, and then I just got rematched to a closer car

3 new Waymo cities launch including a new state and we get the Cybercab launch on Thursday. I did not get invited to the event but I'll be around Austin and can't wait to take my first Austin rides!

New dropoff toast in Robotaxi
Love Robotaxi but the pickup/dropoff experience has been pretty bad recently
I’d say around 50% of my recent rides have looping at pickup or dropoff. Has been adding up to 5-15 mins to affected trips
It's unfortunate because otherwise all my rides recently have been great

Our @Robotaxi missed the dropoff again and then they adjusted the drop off location to a random hotel. Then I had to pay more just to go back to my original destination....
Me: "So basically I gotta pay more because it missed it's stop?"
