For centuries, people in Cappadocia walked across the same piece of land, completely unaware that an entire world was sleeping beneath them.
No ruins stood above it.
No ancient sign pointed toward it.
Just ordinary homes, quiet streets, and the rocky landscape of central Turkey.
Then,in 1963,something unexpected happened.
While renovating his home,a man knocked through a wall and noticed something strange behind it,a passage leading into darkness.
He followed it.
The passage opened into another room. Then another. And before long,he realized he wasn't exploring a forgotten basement.
He had found the entrance to an entire city beneath the earth.
This was Derinkuyu.
The deeper the tunnels went, the more unbelievable the discovery became. There were kitchens, storage rooms, stables, places of worship and ventilation shafts connecting the underground levels.
And then there were the enormous stone doors.
They could be rolled across the passages from inside, turning the underground city into a fortress that could disappear from the world above.
Thousands of people may have once taken refuge down there.
Imagine standing on the ground, completely unaware that beneath your feet,an entire community once lived, hid and waited in the darkness.
And the strangest part?
Derinkuyu wasn't even the only underground settlement in Cappadocia.
Would you actually go down there if you had the chance?

Both Gyökeres and Havertz bring different things that this squad needs. One’s physicality and link-up, the other’s movement and finishing under pressure. Keeping both and letting them push each other is the smartest way to stay competing at the top.

The Future of Banking in Nigeria
The future of banking in Nigeria may not be about having more bank branches.
It will be about who can move money, provide credit, manage risk and deliver financial services faster, cheaper and more seamlessly.
Traditional banks have the balance sheets, licences, infrastructure and deep corporate relationships.
Fintechs have the technology, agility and ability to build around the customer.
But the interesting part is what happens next.
I don't think fintechs will simply replace banks.
I think the winners will be the institutions that learn how to combine banking's balance sheet with fintech's technology.
Open banking will make financial data more portable.
AI will transform credit assessment, fraud detection and customer service.
Digital payments will continue to reduce our dependence on cash.
Embedded finance will make financial services part of everyday businesses rather than something customers deliberately go looking for.
And perhaps most importantly, data will become one of the most valuable assets in Nigerian financial services.
The Nigerian banking industry of 2030 could look very different from what we have today.
The question is:
Will traditional banks become fintechs, or will fintechs eventually become banks?
I feel the answer is in between. There may be some interesting Mergers and Acquisitions coming up.

From “Siuuu!” to “I do.” 💍🥂
Cristiano Ronaldo has won almost everything football could offer him. 🐐🏆
But today, he lifted a different kind of trophy. 💍❤️
After nearly a decade together, Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez are now husband and wife.
They’ve shared the spotlight, built a family, celebrated incredible highs and survived moments of unimaginable pain.
Football gave Ronaldo records.
Fame gave him millions of admirers.
But Georgina gave him something neither can buy a person to come home to.
Because careers end.
Trophies gather dust.
Records get broken.
But finding someone who stays through every chapter?
That might be the greatest victory of all. ❤️

A failed attempt isn’t a failed dream.
Sometimes, it’s simply one more step toward the version that finally works. ✨
James Dyson spent years trying to create a bagless vacuum cleaner.
His first prototype failed.
So did the second.
Then the third.
He eventually built thousands of prototypes, while manufacturers repeatedly rejected his idea.
Most people would have stopped.
Dyson kept improving.
Eventually, one version worked. In 1993, he launched the DC01, which became a major success.
Today, Dyson is a global brand.
The lesson is simple:
A failed attempt isn't a failed dream. Sometimes it's just another step toward the version that works.
