Flare's @HugoPhilion will be speaking at @RippleSwell on how @FlareNetworks has been advancing DeFi for XRP.
XRPL holds the asset. Flare is where XRPFi lives, and more of that stack is still coming.
With Phase 2 approaching, we're answering some common questions from the community. 👇
1️⃣ Users deposit FXRP (Flare's FAssets representation of XRP) into the Firelight vault, a standard ERC-4626 vault, and receive stXRP as the vault share token. stXRP is a pro-rata claim on the vault's FXRP.
Rewards are pushed into the vault in FXRP, so the redemption value of each share steps up. No new tokens are minted and no user action is needed. Holders can deploy stXRP elsewhere in Flare DeFi without changing the underlying exposure.
Once cover is written against the vault, that capital backs claims. Exits run through a per-period withdrawal queue: a request made during one period becomes claimable after the following period ends. Queued capital stops earning but stays exposed until claimable. That delay is what makes vault capital usable as cover collateral.
2⃣ Reward attribution is on-chain. Organic yield (premiums paid by cover buyers, converted to FXRP) and incentive top-ups flow into the vault through two separate distribution calls, so anyone can verify the split independently. The Split between Organic and Incentive Yield will be available in the Vault Homepage.
3⃣ Capacity is set per 30-day epoch from the vault's collateral plus the first-loss buffer, scaled by the capital adequacy framework (leverage and CAR bounds). Utilization is cover actually matched against that epoch's capacity.
The analytics section covers capacity, active coverage, expected loss coverage, leverage and CAR, and it's being expanded at launch.
4⃣ The first-loss buffer is a stablecoin reserve funded by Firelight, held in a dedicated wallet and drawn before any vault capital. Vault capital is only slashed, pro rata, for whatever a validated payout needs beyond the buffer.
The protocol reads the buffer balance on-chain at capacity calculation time, so its size is verifiable in real time by anyone, not on a reporting cadence.
5⃣ Dashboard analytics exist today and will be expanded with the Phase 2 rollout.
stXRP is a ERC-4626 share - the Firelight Vault Share, so the FXRP-per-share rate is live on-chain at all times via convertToAssets on the vault contract. Anyone can read it directly today and the dashboard analytics are being expanded for launch.
We'll share further details over the coming weeks.
The cap on @ClearstarLabs' curated vault on @upshift_fi just went up.
Fully on-chain XRP yield. Transparent. Verifiable.
No need to mint FXRP yourself. Connect the XRPL wallet you already use. Flare Smart Accounts take care of the rest.

Beyond the Summer Signal winners, we also want to recognize a few projects as Honorable Mentions. ☀️
These teams stood out during the hackathon and are worth keeping an eye on as they continue building:
PIXELORBIT
QUBIQ
Torch
XRP Yield Vaults
Congrats to all four teams!
We look forward to seeing where they take their projects next.
Want to understand how FXRP is actually being used across DeFi?
This Dune dashboard tracks FXRP activity across the ecosystem, including users, transactions, supply deployed in DeFi, and activity across different protocols.
Useful data for builders who want to understand where XRP liquidity is moving and which use cases are gaining adoption.
Explore the dashboard:
Also, in a bear market, people are still looking for ways to make money. Tokens may be worth less, that’s true, but they can still work for you.
If you hold $XRP, @FlareNetworks could be a good place to put it to work.
Some of the Summer Signal projects are already testable, and a few are even live on mainnet.
If you have some time, go try them.
Give feedback, break things, ask questions, and help these builders improve. Early users can have a disproportionate impact on whether a promising project keeps moving forward.

Building on Flare gives developers access to infrastructure for data, interoperability, and programmable assets.
Depending on the use case, builders can work with:
• FTSO for decentralized price data
• FDC for verified external events and transactions
• FAssets for bringing assets like XRP into smart contract applications
• Flare Confidential Compute for verifiable offchain execution
The best place to start is with a specific problem and identify which part of the Flare stack helps solve it:
Most XRP holders have never used options. Here's what just became possible.
Sell covered calls and collect premium on XRP you already hold.
Buy puts to hedge without selling.
Trade perps, self-custodial throughout.
FXRP is collateral on @DeriveXYZ now.

Winners:
Thank you to all the Flare Summer Hackathon participants! 🚀
It was super tough to decide the winners. I personally think that everyone is a winner.
Participants are winners because you took part. Flare team is a winner because we got so much feedback.
And most importantly, the Flare community is a winner because they got to use all of these projects.
Keep building!
From my side, please reach out to me. Building won't stop, so ask any questions you have. And I want to jump on a call with you to discuss how you built, how you learned about Flare tech, and what your plans are.
Thank you!
XRPL inheritance payouts. Spending guardrails for AI agents. A private FAssets dark pool. An XRP-first front end for Flare DeFi.
Thank you to everyone who participated, and congrats to the winning teams!
See you on mainnet ☀️
The results are in. ☀️
Meet the Flare Summer Signal winners.
Interoperable Asset Products
🥇 Remnara Confidential Payouts · $4,000
XRPL inheritance payouts where Flare Confidential Compute signs only after on-chain release conditions are met.
🥈 Astryum · $2,000
An XRP-first DeFi interface combining Flare Smart Accounts, FAssets and FTSO to simplify access to Flare DeFi.
Confidential Compute Apps
🥇 AgentVault · $4,000
Policy-controlled x402 payments where Flare Confidential Compute privately evaluates spending rules and signs only approved agent payments.
🥈 UMBRA · $2,000
A private FAssets dark pool using zero-knowledge proofs and on-chain encryption to hide sensitive trading data while keeping settlement verifiable.
Four very different products, built around the same idea: expanding what developers can make possible with XRP, interoperable assets and confidential compute on Flare.
Congratulations to all four teams. 🔥
