Road trips are an inherently terrible way to travel and are romanticized way too much. Pop culture has completely brainwashed people into thinking that spending 10+ hours trapped in a metal box staring at asphalt is the ultimate form of freedom. In reality, road trips are exhausting, inefficient, and ruin the actual vacation. Driving is an active chore, not a relaxing experience. You are constantly on edge dealing with highway traffic, erratic drivers, construction delays, and navigating unfamiliar roads. By the time you actually reach your destination, you’ve wasted an entire day of your limited time off, your lower back hurts, and you’re too drained to actually enjoy the evening. If you fly or take a high-speed train, you can read a book, watch a movie, sleep, or get work done, and arrive completely refreshed and ready to explore. Forcing yourself through a grueling marathon of highway driving just to say you did the "classic journey" is a massive waste of vacation time.

Headstones should have the cause of death on it. I occasionally walk through cemeteries and read headstones. I am absolutely fascinated by the ones that are younger so the Curious mind wants to know what the cause of death is. I wish it was more acceptable to write down the cause of death.

Fever feels kinda nice Idk, I just think lying in bed with fever is the coziest thing ever. Some of my best naps were fever naps. Fever causes your muscles to relax in a way they normally don't. It raises you body temperature making the environment feel cooler by comparison and that feels great under the blanket. I've also associated the feeling of fever with skipping school/work and eating comfort food which definitely enhances the feeling.

Fandoms stopped being a fun escape from reality when people started spreading the belief that you should prioritize purity over pleasure and the art you create must be a reflection of your moral standards at all times.

It's actually so fucking weird that your identity is absolute these days. like, it's been normalized to the point we don't think of it much, but until a hundred years ago, hell even less, you could just kinda. go somewhere else, and be a new person. and that's not a thing anymore.
