Computer now connects to new licensed data sources, including Dun & Bradstreet, Guidepoint, IBISWorld, and 20+ others. An analyst can ask Computer a question and get an answer built from the firm's own licensed sources without APIs or separate logins to work through.
Every figure traces to the source record it came from. Teams doing high-stakes work would know exactly which data set produced which number.

Perplexity Computer quality of life improvement: Press tab to autocomplete skill selection in the slash-command menu
QoL update: Tab-complete to select Skills quickly in any textbox.
The Skills menu will also re-focus if the user clicks away from the textbox.
Every numerical value in Perplexity Computer finance queries is traceable back to original values, with full calculation trace shown.
I used the new wide-research preset in the Perplexity API to check the most recent earnings call for every company in the S&P 500 for mentions of "AI agents", and pull the corresponding YoY revenue growth for each.
The agent pulled historical financials and earnings call transcripts for 500 companies, with every output row cited. Computer outputted the results to a dashboard, and deployed it publicly.
Results: 66 companies mentioned AI agents, with median YoY growth +12.7% for that cohort, compared to +8.1% for the rest.
Good example of how the Perplexity API's wide-research preset can tackle an in-depth task for an n=500 use case.
