News: Multiple American military aircraft suffered damage in strikes overnight on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, sources told @JimLaPorta and me. One A-10 Thunderbolt, known as the Warthog, was struck and left with a missing wing. Roughly eight F-15s sustained light damage and were placed back into service. American forces in Jordan launched more than 30 Patriots missiles defending against the Iranian strikes. The overnight damage came after the US attacked five Iranian tankers in retaliation for Iran targeting a U.S. Navy warship. In response, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed they launched attacks at eight tankers and two warships, including the base in Jordan. @cbsnews

Trump says US has called Nepal and offered "any help that they need" after massive flash flooding. "And there were 50, maybe 60 Americans over there. We haven't gotten the full list yet, but hopefully they're OK." But the incident was so bad "somebody will be lost, unfortunately," he said in Oval.

Scoop via @CBSNews: Trump hasn't settled on a replacement for press secretary Karoline Leavitt, whose last day is Friday, sources told @weijia and me. Responsibilities for White House press briefings will rotate for now, with top admin officials heading to the podium, not members of the White House press and communications staff. Susie Wiles has been looking at potential replacements for Leavitt but no frontrunners yet. Scott Jennings’ name had been floated, but he was unlikely to be the final choice. Leavitt's entire team will stay on and will report to Steven Cheung. Her executive assistant, Kieghan Nangle, is moving over to become a press wrangler. Leavitt will return to MAGA Inc., Trump's super PAC, and will continue to be a top outside adviser to the president. Scoop: Pentagon officials have discussed firing the longtime publisher of Stars and Stripes before his scheduled retirement, U.S. officials told @CBSNews, as the Trump administration strategizes an overhaul of the military news outlet partly funded by American taxpayers.

NEWS via @CBSNews: One cabinet secretary was on the secret plane with Trump -- Pete Hegseth -- when he employed a ruse to evade an Iran threat after the NATO summit.  Two cabinet secretary were on the decoy (the plane publicly identified as AF1): Marco Rubio and Scott Bessent, sources told me. The secretaries, who separated from the president and maintained the line of succession, were aware Trump was on another, secret plane.  Several White House aides were also on the aircraft without the president, including Stephen Miller, Will Scharf, Steven Cheung, Mike Needham, Ross Worthington and Monica Crowley. Staff on the undisclosed plane with Trump after he relocated with the help of a catering truck included Natalie Harp, Dan Scavino and Walt Nauta.

Scoop: As he fiddled with ideas for how to rejuvenate Dulles, Trump asked a handful of the firms competing for the contract to create 3-D models so he could better picture the designs. The hefty tabletop models were taken back and forth to the White House multiple times for his perusal --and his edits for the people movers, parking lot location, baggage handling system, underground trains and aesthetic. US knocked out 28 Iranian boats last night, Trump said. He said US also did strikes on Iranian radar. "They were trying to rebuild their radar, and they had about 60% rebuilt. Now they have to have to start all over again."
