He insisted that he had never been a Muslim and behaved as if I had originated the claim that he had been. Then the next year he published a book discussing how he converted from Islam to Catholicism. The man simply isn’t honest. In the course of his denunciations, he made clear that he hated me because I insisted on defending the freedom of speech rather than kowtowing to Muslims’ death threats against those who draw Muhammad.
