Tbf this happened long ago. Specialized sold 49% of the company to its Taiwanese OEM Merida back in 2001.
The US has a few high end boutique builders but the majority of the domestic brands have been Taiwanese/Chinese manufacture for decades. The big shift is Taiwan to China.
