A people who are unmoved when missiles purchased with their labor, and launched in their name, for reasons that are barely articulated, kill 150 little girls, are already so spiritually degraded that they have very little left that is still worth defending. When their responses range between “yeah, but” and “whatever,” nihilism has already set in bone deep.

We’ve been driven out of our bases, including the US Navy’s 5th Fleet HQ, and retired 4-stars are on TV saying we’ll never return. Our entire strategic position in the region, built up over decades, has been destroyed. The Islamic Republic is intact, and Iran retains the ability to replenish critical munitions from hardened sites that have proven to be beyond our reach. Ben is not an analyst. His job, the reason he was given a platform and a paycheck, is to help manage the narrative to make sure we stay in the war. That’s it. Think of how well it’s worked so far: Our highest officials admit we only attacked Iran because Israel was about to do so, and yet Israel withdrew months ago and we’re still fighting their war for them. Ben’s role is to say whatever he has to say to keep it that way. The long-term effects on the United States are not his problem, he has a backup plan.

People on the Right cant get along because they’re all operating from different stages of grief. Bargaining looks like collaboration to one still in Denial, Acceptance like treason to those still working through Anger. And no one likes the Depressed.
