By far @binance is the worst major exchange API I have had to deal with in my life. It rate limits you & bans your ip only after a small amount of requests. It's also designed to need to be queried with A LOT of requests. Querying per market, per limited range (90 days) and then also separating everything in many different endpoints. That in combination with aggressive rate limiting makes the API useless. Users will still blame @rotkiapp for not being able to get the binance history via API even if fault lies completely on Binance. To avoid this from the next release we will force users to upload a Binance CSV and only use the API to only query recent history. Oh and if you use Binance ... just don't. There is so many other good exchanges out there.

Don't mind me, I am just setting up the mcp connection of my agent to @rotkiapp using my premium rotki sub. Now I can prompt my agent to analyze my entire financial history in any way I can imagine 🤯

In the next @rotkiapp release all your bridging transactions are automatically matched to the corresponding bridging events on the other chain. And for those that can't be rotki offers a manual search, marking as external payment, ignoring or auto creating the counterpart event!

Use rotki 🫡 We can't rug you like that. Plus we are working on a really cool reconcilliation mechanism right now that is goign to be implemented and rolled out over multiple releases. Will help calculate historical balances at any point and also give you confidence all is correct by comparing to historical archive node queries. When stuff stop matching you know there is either events missing, or bug in decoding and the exact event where this happened.

When you use @rotkiapp we warn you of upcoming action items after having parsed your history. History is parsed locally, leaking no data to anyone, and we determine when you need to take action and pop up a reminder for you. Such as when a bridge should be claimed. Use rotki!
