To give this a good faith read that it doesn’t deserve, one point she seems to miss is that antiwar organizers are not merely a blob of moral energy that bursts at the sight of an illegal war. Antiwar activists are rational and strategic. Trump does not care about public opinion. He didn’t even try to make even a fake case for the war. The only pressure point Trump feels that regular people can control is legislative action and elections. A massive march on Washington would do what? Instead, the rational thing to do is elect stridently, unapologetically antiwar candidates up and down the ballot. That’s what antiwar activists have been doing. Neera, meanwhile, has spent the bulk of her time agitating against those candidates and siding with AIPAC, which supports the war and wants more of it.

I am deeply disturbed by the continued detention of prominent Palestinian doctor, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, and reports that he has been beaten while being held in Israel without charges. Dr. Safiya must be released immediately to receive the care he needs, and must be allowed to return to Gaza to continue his lifesaving work.

💢 REPORT | The U.S. has launched another round of strikes on Iran on Wednesday after President Trump declared the ceasefire “over,” accusing Tehran of attacking commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. According to U.S. Central Command, the strikes targeted sites intended to “further degrade” Iran’s ability to threaten shipping through the strait.
