We need to get better at creating spaces where young people can be honest about what theyโ€™re going through without being judged or dismissed. Sometimes โ€œIโ€™m fineโ€ is just the easiest answer when someone doesnโ€™t know how to explain that theyโ€™re struggling. Check on your people. Listen without immediately trying to fix everything. And please, take changes in someoneโ€™s behaviour seriously. We may not always know what someone is carrying.

One thing many Americans outside Arizona donโ€™t realize: Arizona is much more than Phoenix and desert heat. The state covers nearly 114,000 square miles, and the landscape changes dramatically depending on where you are. Phoenix and much of southern Arizona are known for extreme summer heat and desert terrain, while northern Arizona can get heavy snow in the winter. Youโ€™ve got the Grand Canyon, red-rock country around Sedona, pine forests around Flagstaff, and some of the most incredible desert landscapes in the country. And Arizona sits in a fascinating spot geographically, sharing borders with California, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, and Mexico. One state, completely different environments. Arizona is basically proof that โ€œdesertโ€ doesnโ€™t tell the whole story. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

This is actually so sad because, funny enough, this is the reality a lot of Nigerian men living abroad face. You help someone relocate, pay their tuition, support them while they get settled, and genuinely believe youโ€™re building a life together. Then the moment they become financially independent, the whole dynamic changes. Build with someone whose character doesnโ€™t change when their bank balance does.

A guy told me something recently and I honestly didnโ€™t know whether to sympathize with him or tell him he was wrong. He relocated from Nigeria to Canada. According to him, barely two weeks after he arrived, his mother started asking him for money. Not once. She started billing him regularly. โ€œSend this.โ€ โ€œYour younger sibling needs this.โ€ โ€œWe need money for this at home.โ€ โ€œDonโ€™t forget to send something.โ€ He said he was still trying to settle down, find his feet, understand his new environment and get himself financially stable. But the constant demands frustrated him so much that one day, he blocked his mother everywhere. WhatsApp. Calls. Social media. Everything. And apparently, he didnโ€™t speak to her for almost a year. They eventually reconnected, but things have never really been the same. Itโ€™s been two years now, and according to him, his mother still barely speaks to him. Now heโ€™s asking: โ€œDid I actually do something wrong?โ€ And honestly, I think there are two sides to this. Yes, parents sometimes have expectations when their child relocates abroad. And yes, some families genuinely need financial help. But relocating to Canada doesnโ€™t automatically mean someone becomes financially comfortable overnight. At the same time, blocking your mother for an entire year because she was asking for money is also a very serious reaction. Maybe instead of blocking her, he could have clearly told her: โ€œMummy, Iโ€™m not financially stable yet. Please give me some time.โ€ Maybe she would have understood. Maybe she wouldnโ€™t have. But now two years have passed, and both of them are still holding on to the hurt. So I genuinely want to ask: Was he wrong for blocking his mother, or was the mother wrong for starting to bill him barely two weeks after he relocated? And if you were in his shoes, what would you have done?

Do you know it was the democrat party that fought to keep slavery in America and they are the same ones that created the KKK and Jim Crow. The republican stopped them and are still doing it till today. I come in peace โœŒ๐Ÿพ

Apart from my pig farm, thereโ€™s one crop that completely changed the way I see farming..thatโ€™s cucumber. Now I understand why many farmers refuse to stop growing it. I planted it on just one plot of land. In 45 days, it was ready. After that, I harvested every 4 days for about 2 months. At the end of the season, I harvested about 120 bags and sold each for N15k. Thatโ€™s N1.8m in sales from a single plot. Sounds exciting, right? But let me warn youโ€ฆ Donโ€™t venture into cucumber farming just because of this post. Without the right knowledge, cucumber farming will humble you. It demands proper timing, irrigation, pest and disease control, and consistent management. Itโ€™s one of the few crops that can make you money very fastโ€ฆ or make you go broke just as fast. In agriculture, knowledge is more valuable than land. Video was captured with my cctv camera

Good morning, Mutuals! Donโ€™t spend today trying to become the person everyone else wants you to be. Be the person you can be proud of when the day is over. Integrity may not always get noticed or celebrated, but it gives you something far more valuable: peace of mind. May your choices today reflect your values, and may you never have to pretend to be someone youโ€™re not. Have a beautiful day. I see you winning!๐ŸŒฟโœจ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿฝ

Normalize apologizing after you were wrong instead of being defensive and disrespectful because youโ€™re embarrassed.
I totally agree with this! But trust Nigerians to still flood the show then blame the government for not taking us seriously! The Audacity of her and her team!!!
Heavenly Father, Thank You for the gift of life and the blessing of a new day. As we step into this Thursday, we commit our plans, our work, and our hearts into Your hands. Guide us, lead us, and help us walk in Your will. Lord, go before us and make every crooked path straight. Remove obstacles, open doors of opportunities, and let favor locate us wherever we go. Grant us wisdom to make the right decisions, strength to overcome challenges, and patience to trust Your perfect timing. Bless the work of our hands. Let our efforts yield good results. Surround us with genuine people, protect us from harm, and fill our lives with peace, joy, and purpose. Amen.
