Westmoreland County hasn’t had a commercial flight since May. Great news. @SenFettermanPa, @GReschenthaler, and I worked together to secure $850,000 in federal funding to help attract a new carrier to Arnold Palmer Regional Airport. Nobody in Latrobe should have to drive to Pittsburgh just to fly to Myrtle Beach.

For decades, we’ve been told the next technological shift will spell disaster. Just look at these TIME covers. AI doomerism is the latest version. The risks are real. So is the opportunity. America can’t fear its way into the future while China races ahead. We must lead humility, conviction, and courage.

Greenland is vital to America’s national security. @POTUS’s deal gives America permanent military access while Greenland remains under Danish sovereignty. This terrific development will play a pivotal role in American’s Golden Dome Defense and strengthen deterrence as China and Russia expand their presence in the Arctic.

Yesterday, Pennsylvania researchers came to DC for the Rally for Medical Research and visited with me on NIH funding. The work happening in the Commonwealth's labs right now is what a cure looks like ten years before anyone calls it one. I'll keep pushing for the NIH funding that gets it there.

There have been a lot of stories of late about @SeanParnellUSA being considered to be our next Secretary of the Army. I hope it’s true. Sean is a good friend, a decorated combat veteran, a true patriot, and a fellow Pennsylvanian. As I said when he joined the Trump administration, Dina and I are very proud of him and Melanie and their great family. I have full confidence that if Sean is given the honor of serving in this role, he will do so with courage and distinction.

The latest PISA scores should be a wake-up call. American students are falling far behind China in math. We won’t outcompete China if we don’t educate the next generation to do it. Reversing this decline means raising the bar and giving families more choices in their children’s education. That’s why we expanded school choice through the Working Families Tax Cuts Act.

Every new technology requires a careful balance between safety and innovation. AI is no exception. In the name of safety, some want government regulators embedded inside AI companies. The same government that had the Fed watching Silicon Valley Bank. Call me skeptical.

Good discussion today with Pennsylvania hospital and health system leaders about the challenges facing health care across the Commonwealth, including workforce and access pressures, biomedical research funding, and implementation of the Rural Health Transformation Program. That program was created through the Working Families Tax Cuts Act, which I was proud to support and see signed into law last year. Their firsthand input matters as I work on these issues in Washington.

The Constitution was born right here in Pennsylvania. 239 years ago today, our Founders signed it in Philadelphia and put “We the People” at the heart of our government. That’s a legacy worth celebrating and defending.

Yesterday at @EnergyGOP, we heard testimony on several bills, including my Rural and Municipal Utility Cybersecurity Act, which would keep an @ENERGY program in place to help smaller utilities strengthen their cyber defenses.

Last night, the House passed the Lindsey Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act, giving @POTUS powerful new tools to choke off the money fueling Putin’s war machine and increase the pressure for peace. Lindsey knew peace comes through strength. Proud to help carry his work across the finish line. Next stop: the President’s desk.

Families in Luzerne County have been getting a bill for the rain that hits their own roofs, all to pay for a cleanup 200 miles away. Not anymore. Thank you @POTUS for reversing the Obama-era Rain Tax mandate and @RepBresnahan for fighting for this since before he took office and for getting it done. Congressman Bresnahan made this happen!!!

Dina and I were glad to celebrate @SpeakerMcCarthy as his portrait joined the halls of the U.S. Capitol. A special moment made even better alongside our friend @SpeakerJohnson.

Today, Senate Democrats blocked the vote to advance the CLARITY Act. I’m deeply disappointed at this outcome. For more than a year, Republicans and Democrats worked together in good faith to develop a clear, responsible regulatory framework for digital assets. The legislation before the Senate today incorporated substantive changes requested by Democrats, real concessions designed to address concerns from both sides of the aisle and build a durable bipartisan framework. The status quo leaves consumers and investors worse off and cedes U.S. financial leadership overseas. At a time when our global competitors are racing ahead, American entrepreneurs, investors, consumers, and financial institutions in Pennsylvania and across the U.S. deserve clear rules of the road that protect consumers while allowing innovation to flourish here at home. This issue isn’t going away, and neither is my commitment to getting it done. Community banks and entrepreneurs in PA and across America are worse off without CLARITY. I’ll continue working with colleagues on both sides of the aisle to deliver the certainty America needs to remain the global leader in financial innovation.
