35 years before backing @creepz, @AdamWeitsman got a $20 lizard tattoo. > 1990: Walks into a tattoo shop on a Sunday morning. > Pays an intern $20 to ink a green SoBe lizard on his lower back. > Gets roasted by his friends and Jewish mom for 3.5 decades. > "That's what you do when you're 18 and you have $20." > Fast forward: Builds a billion-dollar scrap metal empire. > COVID hits: Spends 50+ hours covering it up with a David & Goliath piece to support a local Syracuse artist. > Enters Web3: Collects 10,000+ NFTs, joins boards, builds in crypto. > And the major collection he ends up backing? Creepz. A project of lizards. You can cover the $20 tattoo on your back. But some lore follows you all the way to Web3. Full circle.

Claynosaurz keeps making noise on CT and I'm just getting started... The Amazon Prime and Apple TV debut is getting all the attention. I did a deep dive into the corporate structure behind it. Here's what I found: 1. Claynosaurz reassigned their trademark from Claynosaurz Inc. to HEEBOO Group Inc., an entertainment studio in Montreal. 7 international classes at USPTO: apparel, toys, drinkware, retail, entertainment, digital goods, SaaS. This is the "project to studio" move. When the trademark sat under Claynosaurz Inc., every deal had to be signed under an NFT project name. Partners hesitate. When it sits under HEEBOO, you're sitting across from Amazon as a studio. Not as a PFP collection. That's the difference between getting heard and getting passed on in the lobby. Think Pixar. Pixar created Toy Story, but the trademark belongs to the studio. The studio then creates Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc, The Incredibles. Heeboo is building the same model. Claynosaurz is IP #1#. The platform is designed to launch more. This also opens the door for institutional investment. VCs invest in HEEBOO (a studio with a pipeline), not Claynosaurz (a single collection). Completely different conversation. 2. The Co-CEO of HEEBOO is Sherry Gunther Shugerman. Not an advisor. Not a consultant. Co-CEO. She's running the company. She helped launch the original Cartoon Network. Not "worked at." Founding team. She produced or led production on The Simpsons, Family Guy, Rugrats, Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls. These are billion-dollar franchises. She's a 2x Emmy winner. Recently produced Twilight of the Gods with Zack Snyder on Netflix. She teaches at USC, where she's spent over a decade training people how to build entertainment companies. What this means: She's the credibility bridge. When Amazon or Apple looks at HEEBOO, they see Sherry. She speaks their language, knows their people, has delivered their kind of product. That's how Claynosaurz got on Amazon without needing a deck explaining what Web3 is. Cab built worlds for Jurassic World, Game of Thrones, The Suicide Squad. Dan is an Annie Award-winning animator from ILM, Framestore, MPC. They know how to MAKE animation. Sherry knows how to SCALE it. Licensing deals, international distribution, toy partnerships. Different skill set entirely. Now they have all three under one roof. And the signal here is hard to ignore. Someone at the peak of traditional entertainment chose to run a Web3 studio. She doesn't need HEEBOO. She chose it. 3. Now the Amazon Prime and Apple TV debut makes sense. Two days ago, Claynosaurz became the first Web3 brand to reach a streaming platform with 245 million subscribers. Three animated micro-episodes. Trending in Entertainment with 13.3K posts. Floor hit 25 SOL. An entertainment studio that used NFTs to fund its first production and built a real business on top of it. 245 million subscribers. None of them needed to know what Solana is to press play.
