I’ve noodled for catfish in the Brazos River, so I know exactly what she’s reaching into that hole hoping to find. But I can tell you right now, I never pulled out anything even close to this size. Noodling is about as basic as fishing gets. No rod, no reel, no bait. You reach into an underwater hole where a catfish is hiding, wait for it to bite your hand, grab hold and try to get it to the surface. People have been doing some version of this for centuries. You don't get to strip someone's citizenship because they're rich, influential, outspoken, or politically inconvenient. But please, keep circulating the petition. WELP - LOOKS AS IF THE WORD "MASSIVE" HAS A DIFFERENT MEANING FOR SOME THAN OTHERS. The Democrats idea of a "massive crowd" seems to be a couple of hundred people showing up at an apparent town hall meeting, which most likely was advertised everywhere. Most of us could gather that many friends at a BBQ with nothing but word of mouth.

This makes me sick. Three children are dead, a jury couldn’t reach a verdict, and now a fundraiser benefiting Lindsay Clancy has reportedly climbed past $1.1 MILLION. I cannot get past this question: Where is this level of compassion for Cora, Dawson and Callan? Those three children don’t get a second chance. They don’t get another trial. They don’t get to grow up. Watching more than a million dollars pour in while three tiny victims are gone forever just doesn’t sit right with me. Their names deserve to be remembered more than hers.

Nancy Mace is right on this. You cannot argue that postpartum mental illness makes a mother so dangerous and disconnected from reality that she should not be held responsible for killing her children… while simultaneously insisting that the same diagnosis should never raise questions about a child’s safety. You can’t have it both ways. Mental illness deserves compassion. It deserves treatment. But children deserve protection, too. And somewhere along the way, that part of the conversation seems to have been forgotten. The children should ALWAYS come first. Period.

Ranchers have been stuck selling through a handful of giant packers for decades. Trump signed an order yesterday aimed at changing that. I love my hibiscus flowers! Hibiscus flowers open in the morning and fade by night. The plants just keep making more beautiful flowers. Pink ones like this usually mean tenderness and quiet admiration. Red is passion. Yellow is joy. Across cultures they’re a national or state flower, a signal worn behind the ear in Hawaii, and the tart ruby tea in your cup. For me, hibiscus flowers are just a natural beauty! I am so happy that they thrive in my yard!

These black vultures decided to spend part of the day hanging out at my neighbor’s house, and I had the perfect view of them from my lanai while I was relaxing in the pool. It was a very hot day here in Southwest Florida, and you can see two of them with their wings spread wide. They weren’t trying to intimidate anyone—they were simply cooling themselves off in the heat. There were quite a few of them! I also noticed the juvenile black vulture at the end of the group. You can tell he’s younger because he still has feathers on his head, unlike the adults. I thought that was such an interesting detail to notice while watching them from a distance. I never know what I’m going to see from my lanai, especially living in Florida! One minute I’m enjoying a quiet afternoon in the pool, and the next I’m watching a group of vultures gather at my neighbor’s house. It may not have been the prettiest reason for their visit, but it was definitely an interesting little piece of Florida wildlife to witness.
