OVER 100 FIREARMS & 125,000 ROUNDS SEIZED. A Homeland Security Task Force investigation led to a 158-count indictment against 21 defendants involved in straw purchasing and gun trafficking in Arizona. Every single illegal firearm and round taken off the street today represents potential lives saved. The HSTF will continue to aggressively fight against the influence of violent cartels attempting to stretch into our communities.

With summer in full swing, the FBI’s commitment to protecting our communities remains unwavering. Through Operation Summer Heat, agents and analysts across the country continue to focus on the offenders who pose the greatest risks to public safety. Since June 1, our efforts have led to 2,560 arrests and 1,980 drug seizures, including 350 kg of fentanyl and 3,230 kg of cocaine. Out of @FBICleveland our teams worked alongside partner agencies to execute a coordinated takedown of the 627 Gang, resulting in the arrest of 10 subjects and seizure of over 2 dozen firearms. On the other side of the nation, @FBISanFrancisco worked alongside ATF, USMS, DEA, and the Oakland Police Department to target offenders who possessed firearms. This effort resulted in 50 federal indictments and 76 firearms taken off the street. As a whole, your #FBI# will continue to deliver results with your safety in mind. ATLANTA – An indictment unsealed today in the Northern District of Georgia charges Jonathan Eric Gardiner, a convicted felon and Bahamian national, with federal drug importation and conspiracy offenses. For two years, @ATFPhoenix worked with #HSTF# partners @HSI_HQ @CBP and @USAO_AZ to investigate a network that used straw buyers to acquire pistols and AK style rifles in Arizona, some of which were later trafficked to Mexico. Justice Department Secures Agreement with Connecticut Children’s to End Pediatric “Gender-Affirming Care” “The Department of Justice will stop at nothing to protect America’s children,” said @ASGWoodward. “This resolution is a reminder to hospitals, medical providers, and pharmaceutical companies that the Justice Department will vigorously enforce federal law, especially where the lives of children are endangered.” Connecticut Children’s becomes the third hospital to reach an agreement with the Department of Justice to stop providing sex-rejecting procedures to minors. 🔗:
