Integrating new signings like big-money arrival Morgan Rogers, implementing a new tactical system, and deciding who stays/leaves mid-window takes time. Title-winning sides usually have established cohesion and a settled core over a full 38-game campaign. Alonso’s previous short stint at Real Madrid and the need to build “mentality monsters” from a young, previously inconsistent group make an immediate title run a steep ask. 2. The established top teams have clearer continuity and proven title pedigree. Arsenal are defending champions and clear favorites, Manchester City remain a standing threat with depth and experience of sustained challenges, while Liverpool and Manchester United sit in the next tier. Chelsea’s recent ceiling has been top-four contention or mid-table turbulence despite heavy spending; data-driven models (e.g., Squawka Signal) have put their title probability in the low single digits (~4.5%). Overcoming clubs with more stable structures, proven big-game performers, and fewer internal resets is a tall order in one season, even with no European football. 3. Persistent squad imbalances, youth/inexperience, and project instability.
