One of the most often asked questions to me from industry and companies in Europe is: Velina, can Europe’s decline be reversed?
And I say: yes, Europe’s decline has been self-made and thus it’s reversible! But it’s linked to major suffering, sacrifice and Mindset shift to win.
“Readjusting the mindset” is becoming a full-time job. Explaining the European cultural blindness on how the rest of the world thinks and acts is more than a necessity. The difficult part is not getting new ideas in, it is getting old ideas out.
Another big call of mine is slowly becoming a reality. What this Semafor interview gets wrong is that the very same people who were riding the wave of “happy globalization” would just magically turn into realpolitik coryphée and “readjust the mindset of future European elites”.
Another foresight from me: when the crisis hits, and I don’t mean a negative market price or some shortage here and there. I mean, when the real scale of the Global System Rupture multiplicative crisis hits us all with its various waves, many people will become & act delusional.
Top generals Zhang Youxia & Liu Zhenli, purged in January from PLA, have been officially expelled from the Communist Party & CMC now, based on accusations of disloyalty & corruption. Zhang is the sole surviving military officer on the commission next to Xi Jinping. Brutal purge.
I know the straightforward answer to this question from both American and Canadian first-hand military sources but I can’t reveal it as it’s extremely inconvenient.
Asked who would win in a hypothetical war between Canada and the U.S., @Gladwell tells @JeffreyGoldberg that Canada would prevail “because all of the American troops invade Canada, and then realize that they want to stay.”

Fantastic news: the US, Denmark, and Greenland will sign US security deal for Greenland in New York tomorrow.
Gentle reminder how most of the European security analysts were totally wrong about the possible outcome of the Greenland crisis. Not the first time & not the last time.
TRUMP: “WHOEVER WINS AI, WINS”
President Trump says the U.S. must avoid stifling AI growth, arguing the technology could become bigger than the Industrial Revolution or the internet.
Trump said the U.S. is currently leading China and other countries in AI and pledged to preserve that position.
He added that law enforcement could intervene if necessary, but said his administration would otherwise encourage AI and “super intelligence.”
Look, look.
Translation for those who still can‘t get it: If the DragonBear facilitates the Northern Sea Route and builds up the military presence in the Arctic, so can we with our Pacific and Atlantic (NATO) partners amid new Cold War.
