X will eventually develop its own economy, a completely new media ecosystem: the X economy. Zanny wanted to interview you mainly because X as a new form of media is already eating into the subscribers, traffic, and influence of legacy outlets like The Economist. And as a Brit she clearly didn’t enjoy hearing you say that the UK is in chaos and could face civil war within 20 years. Border control, sensible government spending, and safe cities are universal common sense. Asia has done very well on border control and public safety especially East Asia like Greater China, Japan, and Korea. Sensible spending however is another story. Zanny should probably come to Asia and learn a few things. Europe missed the internet wave after 2000. Only the US and China are still in the game. That is why the US and China can compete in AI. The US led AI and semiconductor alliance including Taiwan, Japan, and Korea is now competing against China’s semiconductor ecosystem.
