Unfortunate if true. This is one of the best ways to encourage self-deportation without raids or anything else that risks a shooting, an ugly photo, or some other bad PR cycle.

How about instead of a moratorium on building things, you do a surge to build more power plants in South Carolina?
South Carolina is not Big Tech's personal power grid. We're calling for a one-year moratorium on new data center construction in South Carolina, putting Big Tech on notice: South Carolina families will not foot the bill for their massive energy demands. These companies are planting massive data centers across our state, driving up energy demand, and leaving families and small businesses to pick up the tab. South Carolinians are already stretched thin. The last thing they need is a higher electricity bill subsidizing Big Tech's bottom line. A one-year moratorium gives South Carolina the chance to get this right. When it is over, the rules are simple: data centers pay their own way or they do not come here. South Carolina STRONG.

Apparently, it is "dehumanizing" to oppose the burka (a method of literally obscuring the human features of women, imposed by the Taliban and ISIS).
.@TomLatchem of The Daily Beast thinks that mocking and rejecting the burka is “a sickening display of racism.” @UnderSecPD continuing to set the left off in the best ways.

One can have mixed opinions about AI itself, but the revolt against data centers is a very ugly sign for the U.S. It shows America headed in the direction of Europe, developing the moral sense that any kind of development or economic activity is somehow immoral, so it’s better to just not have such things. The proper response to worries about water is to point out that it is a hysterical lie (data center water use is minuscule compared to agriculture or other industries); the proper response to worries about electricity is to build more power plants as quickly as possible. The end result of this panic will be economic stagnation and domination by foreign powers that choose growth.

🚨 Wow. Taxpayer-funded Ball State University disclosed it’s hiring an entry level "budget analyst" on a H-1B visa. The university has graduated thousands of finance and accounting students. But apparently ZERO are qualified for this job. It’s time to end the H-1B scam

This is hugely unfortunate and a real sign of intellectual decline. Even today, there is still no substitute for a detailed book (ideally, several books) for gaining a rich understanding of a topic, and actively reading challenging books is the best mechanism for becoming a rigorous thinker. Podcasts (or worse, AI summaries) are a pale substitute.

"Dad books" — which this article, and some publishing insiders, use to describe "serious nonfiction" books across biography, current affairs and business and economics — are reportedly in a free fall, with sales declining every year for the last few years “The trend couldn’t be clearer,” said Jonathan Karp, the former chief executive of Simon & Schuster and publisher of the new Simon Six imprint. “When we have internal meetings to talk about this problem, it always comes around to podcasts,” said Jonathan Burnham, president and publisher of the Harper Group at HarperCollins Publishers.

Democrats claim to champion women’s rights, yet they allow men to infiltrate women’s spaces under the guise of identity politics. Then they gaslight anyone who questions it and smear women as “transphobic” for defending basic reality. The hypocrisy is astounding. God created men and women intentionally and in His image, each with a unique design and purpose. A society that can no longer recognize or honor that truth is not just losing fairness in sports, it is losing its understanding of God’s creation and, with it, its humanity.

If you have to create a shared podium for the boy competing in the girls’ event, you’ve already admitted you know he isn’t a girl and that his participation is unfair. At that point, you're just seeking a public humiliation ritual for the girls.

LIRR is just a criminal cartel and ought to be treated as such.
What's the most dangerous job in America? You might think it's being in the army, or a police officer, or a construction worker But one job has double the amount of people getting disability checks. 75% of LIRR employees are receiving disability checks from the NY Gov.

An interesting thing we have in Arizona: Married couples have the option to get a covenant marriage, whose main effect is to make it harder to get divorced. Instead of no-fault unilateral divorce, a divorce must either be mutual, have proof of wrongdoing (adultery, abuse, abandonment) by one party, or come after an extended separation. Even among conservatives and Christians I know, the vast majority of people have never heard of this; only a few hundred people have them. One of the biggest reasons marriage has declined is that we've ruined the incentives for it. When marriage is easy to dissolve, power in a marriage rests with the person who is more willing to break up. When it's hard to dissolve a marriage, power instead rests with the person who wants the marriage to work. And overall, when divorce is harder, marriages are actually happier, because they provide a greater sense of security and stability for those in them. If we want to encourage a revival of marriage on the right, a good idea would be to start with ourselves: Pastors in Arizona should make couples aware that this option exists, and encourage them to get it. If we think marriage should be for life, we should put some skin in the game to show we mean it.

You’re right, Candace. The video is crucial, which is why I asked @TPUSA to see it. I approached them in good faith, and they agreed. It’s real, and multiple people who were in Aspen that day remember the moment. The video does matter, but it’s not the only reason the board voted to appoint Erika. I spoke to several Turning Point donors and close friends of Charlie who revealed that after Butler, there was a very real fear about his safety and the future of his organization. Charlie reassured them: He would leave Turning Point to Erika and the board to carry on the mission if the worst happened.

Current situation: -A Daily Mail reporter was writing up the "controversy" over who Charlie wanted to succeed him: His wife who knew him best, whom he trusted most, and whom the TPUSA board eagerly supported, or some other person (Hint: Candace obviously thinks it should have been herself). -Of course, no video is actually needed to "prove" Charlie wanted Erika to succeed him if something happened -- everyone who knew Charlie well and spent time around him knew this was the case and there was zero suspense going into the board vote. -Still, while Turning Point would still rather not release private videos in response to insane screaming from lunatics, they did show it to the Daily Mail reporter just to confirm that the video exists. For good measure, the reporter also spoke to three separate donors to confirm that the question and answer did happen. So, the Mail accordingly reported that the video is real. -Candace is now screaming that the video must be made using AI, exactly as I said she would a month ago. -Candace has publicly accused the Mail of lying about contacting her, so he posted a screengrab of his email to her publicist, which was sent two whole days before the article came out.

Hi Charlie, May I ask why you wrote that you contacted me to no avail when this did not happen? In fact you were in communication with and received a response from Mitchell regarding a separate matter this month and you never once asked any questions about access to donors who dispute this video. Separately, can you make any logical sense out of why they chose to introduce the audio to the public without the video component? Respectfully, is your skill set AI? Were you the correct person to assess whether the video was real or made by the Hollywood A.I company that Turning Point met with following Charlie’s death? Were you even aware they met with an A.I company that specializes in post-humous video making? Does that at all strike you as odd? I don’t doubt your sincerity, but you underestimate their cunning and technological capabilities. I am personally in possession of material from Aspen which could easily identify whether the video they showed you was adapted using A.I. I suspect they know that.

This helps explain the political alliance between bleeding-heart liberals, who go easy on crime because they can't imagine the mindset of violent anti-social criminals, and radical antifa liberals, who want to go easy on crime because they share the mindset of said anti-social criminals.

"Empathy" is often used to explain bleeding-heart liberalism, but this is exactly backwards. It is precisely the liberal's lack of empathy, his failure to imagine the mindset of the malicious anti-social criminal, that drives his misguided politics. Important to realize this.
