For me an angle isn’t truly covered if it relies on a dive to save.
If you have to dive to cover an angle, that’s what I’d call reactive goalkeeping —you’ve added an extra job on top of the save itself.
If you have the angle covered, you only have to make the save.

Would love to see the stats but I counted at least 4 Jordan Pickford short kickouts/restart 2nd touches that led directly to Croatia attacks. Why do England persist with the back passing short to Pickford on kickouts? I think it’ll come back to haunt them later in the WC.
