ICE Newark officers arrested Zokhid Zakhidov, an illegal alien from Uzbekistan, in Woodbridge, New Jersey, on Aug. 23. Zakhidov, who was in possession of a New York commercial learner permit, is in ICE custody pending removal proceedings. His criminal history includes a New York DUI conviction from earlier this year and pending charges for assault with intent to cause physical injury and harassment dating back to January. Aaron Terod Johnson, a U.S. citizen and former high school teacher from New Orleans, started a 33-year prison sentence following his conviction for sex trafficking a 16-year-old girl from Mississippi to Louisiana. Johnson learned the teen ran away from home in February 2024. The next day, he found and saved a screenshot of her social media page on his phone. In March 2024, Johnson contacted the girl and learned she was stranded in Mississippi. That evening, he drove from his home and picked up the victim and her friend. He told her he wouldn’t hurt her because he was a teacher and his students were her age. Then he offered her alcohol and marijuana, brought her to his apartment, and sexually abused her. His abuse continued even after she left his apartment — he repeatedly tried to contact her even though she blocked him. Within two weeks, he sexually abused her again. Evidence introduced at his trial showed Johnson attempted to pay a different girl for sex in April 2024, even after she disclosed she was only 15 years old. ICE @HSI_HQ, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office, the @USMarshalsHQ and the @ATFHQ investigated this case.

ICE FUGITIVE ARRESTED IN TEXAS FOR MURDER ICE @EROHouston lodged an immigration detainer against fugitive illegal alien Jose Gregorio Blanco Moreno, who was arrested Aug. 12 and charged with his roommate’s murder. Released into the U.S. under the Biden administration, the Venezuelan national was ordered removed in 2024 after failing to appear at his immigration hearing. When honored, ICE detainers ensure dangerous aliens are transferred directly into our custody instead of being released into American communities.

Ryan Dookhan, a U.S. citizen who was working as a elementary school security guard in New York, sexually exploited an 11-year-old girl he met on Roblox. He coerced her into engaging in sexually explicit conduct using a discreet messaging app so he could produce photos and videos of her. ICE HSI Sault Ste. Marie and the Michigan State Police investigated the case, which led to Dookhan’s conviction and a 30-year prison sentence.

When officials don’t honor detainers and choose to release criminal aliens into their own communities, Americans are less safe. In sanctuary jurisdictions, ICE officers must pursue the alien in the community. These at-large arrests are more dangerous for the public, aliens and officers. DETAINER LODGED FOR ILLEGAL ALIEN ACCUSED OF INJURING FOUR – TWO IN WHEELCHAIRS – IN HIT-AND-RUN We lodged an immigration detainer against Mexican criminal illegal alien Felipe Alvarado Hernandez after local authorities arrested him in connection with a June 13 hit-and-run crash that injured four pedestrians in Nashville, including two in wheelchairs. It’s unclear when Hernandez last entered the U.S., but he was deported in 2004 after Michigan’s Roseville Police Department arrested him for retail fraud and referred him to ICE. The immigration detainer requests a safe transfer into ICE custody for another deportation after he faces justice. Get details in our newsroom.

Chinese national Yupeng Sun was charged this week in Massachusetts for allegedly impersonating another Chinese national and voting in the 2024 presidential election under the victim’s name. He’s also accused of causing the same Chinese national and his wife (another Chinese national) to be erroneously placed in removal proceedings by submitting fraudulent forms to USCIS in April 2024 requesting to abandon their LPR status. Unbelievably, Sun allegedly sent letters to ICE @HSI_HQ and @USCIS after fraudulently voting that ACCUSED HIS VICTIMS of illegal voting in this ongoing @HSINewEngland case. If convicted, Sun faces up to 10 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a fine of $250,000 for fraudulent voter registration and fraudulent voting.

Mexico native Omar Cantu-Montalvo was naturalized in 2005, but he lied on his application saying he had never committed a crime. In April 2016, he pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute MORE THAN 5 KILOGRAMS OF COCAINE — a conspiracy he joined just a few months before he applied for naturalization. DOJ is pressing for denaturalization.

CHILD SEX PREDATOR Jesus Bailon-Rodriguez served prison time for LEWD/LASCIVIOUS ACTS WITH A CHILD UNDER 14. He also served jail time for carrying a concealed blade, vandalism and robbery. ICE removed him from the United States Aug 17.

Undercover special agents from ICE @HSIKansasCity’s Omaha field office arrested five convicted and accused child predators in a multiday sting. During the operation, investigators also encountered dozens of additional individuals who continued communicating about sexually exploiting minors. “To those using commercial sex websites or other platforms to seek access to children: We are out there. We are looking for you,” said HSI Omaha Group Supervisor Chris Hessenflow.

Seventeen illegal aliens were arrested Aug. 14 at a Texas stash house by ICE @EROElPaso with its Border Enforcement Security Task Force and local law enforcement partners. Thirteen Mexican nationals, two Brazilian nationals, one Guatemalan national and one Honduran national were arrested. One of the Mexican nationals was charged with harboring illegal aliens. Eight of the illegal aliens were previously deported and may face prison sentences for illegal reentry (a felony) before being deported again. Two others already have final orders of removal issued by an immigration judge, and the rest face illegal entry charges. Under President Trump, illegal entry has consequences. We will FIND you. We will PROSECUTE you. We will DEPORT you. PERIOD.
