I’ve always believed that action isn’t just about winning a fight. Some of my favorite moments are when a character is fighting in agony, in desperation, gasping for air, surviving one breath at a time, carrying every injury from beginning to end. That’s where so much of the storytelling lives. For me, acting is reacting. And action is reaction. Thank you, @CriticsChoice, for noticing and for this nomination. It’s an incredible honor. Now, back to work. 🎥 Forever grateful. 🦋 #TheFurious#

#TheFurious# is the kind of film that reminds you why theatres exist. If you call yourself an action fan, you owe it to yourself to catch this one at the earliest. This is the best action film we have seen in the last four to five years, no exaggeration. We went to watch the film on a weekday, it was HOUSEFUL. Peak adrenaline from start to finish and the kind of energy that does not come around often. The choreography is insane, the staging is mind boggling and every sequence lands with the kind of impact that pulls the whole crowd in.

Buat yang belum tahu, THE NIGHT COMES FOR US (2018) adalah film original Netflix Indonesia pertama. Hyper-violent martial arts action garapan Timo Tjahjanto. Hampir 8 tahun rilis, masih terus diapresiasi penonton internasional sampai sekarang. Brutal berdarah-darah!

My next one is musical, I'm seriously thinking about it, the way I fight always has a strong connection with music. Anyone interested?

Joe Taslim did something really smart in The Furious. Instead of playing Navin like another unstoppable killer, he made him human, hurt, and truthful. That choice makes every fight hit harder. #TheFurious# Full Interview:

The Furious cooks, and I mean fucking cooks its entire runtime, but when this frame drops. It’s like Tanagaki and Sonomura just dead faced looked at the audience and said “you think we were done? Check this shit” then dropped one of the most brilliantly executed fight scenes ever
