A milestone moment for the sea-based leg of the nation’s nuclear triad: NNSA along with its labs, plants, and sites partnered with the @USNavy to complete the first production unit of the W76 Mark 4B reentry body, nearly 3 months ahead of schedule. Shout out to @SandiaLabs for leading the system integration and design for the non-nuclear components. NNSA is accelerating production and delivering on our commitment to strengthen the reliability of America’s nuclear deterrent.

NNSA partnered with law enforcement partners across the country, and deployed 200+ Nuclear Emergency Support Team (NEST) professionals to protect the @FIFAWorldCup in the Department of @ENERGY's largest-ever preventative radiological and nuclear detection mission. NEST personnel from the Radiological Assistance Program (RAP) – America’s premier first responder organization for assessing radiological incidents – fanned out across the country to protect World Cup venues using advanced radiation detection systems. The mission was the result of years of planning with federal, state, local, tribal, and international partners. It was made possible by the dedicated workforce, who left their families and daily roles at labs, plants and sites nationwide to serve. 🇺🇸

America’s ingenuity leads the world! Three prestigious efforts funded by NNSA's Office of Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation R&D efforts won 2026 @RD100Awards  for @LosAlamosNatLab, @Livermore_Lab, @SandiaLabs, @ORNL, @PNNLab, and @af_academy! From autonomous space dominance in orbit to AI-assisted physics and smart monitoring, American innovation is crushing it. Strong tech. Strong defense. 🇺🇸

Through Project Solar Shield, @NNSANews is deploying advanced mobile Counter-UAS platforms to protect secure transport convoys on the move. By integrating cutting-edge defense tech, we ensure the safety of our nation's nuclear assets in any environment.

At last week’s @INMMTweets conference, NNSA Deputy Administrator for Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation Matt Napoli highlighted how we are streamlining regulations, accelerating next-generation reactor exports, and integrating advanced safeguards to build strong, long-term global partnerships. By combining the operational discipline of the nuclear Navy with the innovation of our national labs, NNSA is enabling the American nuclear renaissance to ensure a secure, prosperous, and energy-independent future.

NNSA has exercised the remaining Option Period on Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC’s (@SRNSolutions) contract for the management and operation of the Savannah River Site (@SRSNews), extending performance through September 30, 2027. More here:

Take Charge And Move Out! The TACAMO mission, flown by the @USNavy, is a critical link in nuclear command and control providing communications in support of @POTUS, @SecWar, and @US_STRATCOM. The E6B Mercury and its crew carry a five mile long VLF antenna to maintain communications with our ballistic missile submarines. 🇺🇸

At the @US_STRATCOM Deterrence Symposium, @NNSAWilliams highlighted how we are moving past "business as usual" to modernize our nuclear stockpile and production infrastructure with the speed the global security environment demands.

Unauthorized drones are prohibited from flying within the Pantex site boundary. NNSA monitors and protects its sites and works with law enforcement to address violations. These measures help protect our workforce, communities, and national security.

This week, Y-12 hosted Assistant Secretary Tim Walsh from @ENERGY's Office of Environmental Management. Joined by @NNSANews @NNSAWilliams, they toured our facilities used to maintain the nation’s nuclear weapons stockpile and its critical deterrence mission.

It was an honor to join colleagues from @y12nsc, @BWXT, Consolidated Nuclear Security, @ORNL, and leaders across the industry at the East Tennessee Economic Council (ETEC) Nuclear Opportunities Workshop. We had a candid discussion about what it truly takes to "Secure America’s Nuclear Future." My message to the room was simple: We must move with absolute urgency. The technology is ready. The political and financial support is there. Now, as I told the panel, we need "shovels in the ground." We must build, scale, and deliver. Thank you to @ETEC_tn for hosting this vital conversation.
