New @NoPriorsPod w @melisatokmak CEO of @Netic_AI Building AI products for physical world business
Under Secretary of State @jacobhelberg just revealed the US claimed 4,000 acres in the Philippines for AI. That's a third of Manhattan, handed over for one purpose: building a private sector industrial base to secure America's AI supply chain. This is what competing with China actually looks like. Pax Silica is the 14-country coalition behind it, and it's the most ambitious economic security plan America has ever built. Full breakdown on No Priors:

An agent watching your pantry shelf and reordering the moment it runs low. 🤯 @andyfang on what agent-first commerce actually looks like, with people now building on the @DoorDash CLI. So insane and cool to see this in real life.

Great to see @andyfang and @stanleytang talk about some of our latest experiments, some of which are now 8 years old, but still just getting started. If you want to learn, feel, and build at the intersection of autonomy, applied AI, and real world operations with speed and scale, come join us @DoorDash!

It was fun being on the @NoPriorsPod yesterday with @saranormous chatting through DoorDash's AI and autonomy ambitions! Here's @stanleytang talking about getting started building DoorDash Dot, our L4 autonomous delivery robot, back in 2018.

.@DoorDash is betting on robotics, drones, and AI. That doesn't mean fewer Dashers. It means a much bigger delivery network. @andyfang @stanleytang @saranormous
Glenn Fogel, CEO of @BookingHoldings, tells @eladgil why he doesn't believe in moats: "Today we have a competitive advantage, absolutely, but that's gonna go away tomorrow.”
The first AI chip ever powered by a nuclear reactor just went live. @isaiah_p_taylor, Founder of @valaratomics, on connecting an NVIDIA Blackwell chip directly to their reactor, and the strangest rule in their merch store. Full episode:

OpenAI Research Scientist @polynoamial on why the AI release cycle has outpaced our ability to evaluate AI models, and what that means for the labs shipping them.
Really fun to hang again with my friend 🃏 @polynoamial (OpenAI research scientist, our first guest ever on @NoPriorsPod in early 2023) to talk about the implications of large test-time compute, and what happens when models are given $10M budgets to spend on a single task. Topics: 01:23 – Why Benchmarks Are Broken 04:19 – Compute Budgets and Projections 06:48 – How Long Should Models Think? 08:01 – Benchmarkmaxxing 09:48 – Noam's Evals 12:40 – Safety (When Model Capability Scales With Spend) 16:09 – Implications For the Model Release Cycle 18:34 – Latent Model Capability 22:27 – Limits on Recursive Self-Improvement 28:38 – Large-Scale Multi-Agent Coordination 30:39 – Competition at the Frontier 33:19 – Breaking the Benchmark Grid Equilibrium 34:57 – Why Benchmarks Should be Scaled by Cost

$INTC CEO @LipBuTan1 in new interview on his Foundry bet, and why we must make semis in the United States.
.@intel CEO @LipBuTan1 on working with Elon Musk: "He's one of the best, if not the best, entrepreneurs in this century." "He and I share the same view that semiconductor infrastructure has not caught up with AI growth. We need the capacity and productivity. We need to drive efficiency. That's something we both feel is missing."

Lip Bu Tan joined the Cadence board in 2004, became CEO in 2009, delivered 85x for shareholders over 15 years. He's a VC by nature, so he thinks in return multiples, not milestones. He set Intel's target at 10x for shareholders in the next 5-10 years. Stock's already 5x since he started 15 months ago, and he's planning a 10-year run. Not sure if I'm seeing many downsides here! Fresh from the @NoPriorsPod 🙏 ---- Maybe imma go long on $INTC
