Jeff is a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Google and an active contributor to OCP specification development and industry collaboration initiatives. How long have you been involved with OCP? Jeff has been volunteering with OCP since 2021. Why do you volunteer your time to OCP? Jeff believes collaboration between cloud providers and vendors is essential to creating effective, scalable solutions. Through OCP, he helps ensure requirements are aligned and that the industry can move forward together. What impact has OCP had on you professionally? OCP has given Jeff the opportunity to help reduce fragmentation across the industry by enabling vendors to build toward common specifications. He also values the relationships built through face-to-face collaboration at OCP events around the world. What are you most excited about right now? Jeff is particularly interested in the industry’s transition toward post-quantum cryptography and addressing emerging AI security challenges—two areas he sees as highly impactful over the coming years. Something people may not know about you? Jeff took up skydiving during the COVID era and continues to enjoy the sport.
