The kitchen tricks my grandma kept secret for years weren’t fancy gadgets or store-bought sprays. They were the kind of quiet, stubborn wisdom that lived in a dented pot and a well-used strainer. She never let a pot boil over if she could help it, and she never let tiny holes in a colander stay clogged. A little heat, a little patience, and something already sitting in the pantry usually did the job. No new bottles. No extra trip to the store.
