It was very easy for pollsters to cook a question to show to the president that gave him the impression Americans supported us attacking Iran to prevent a nuke.
But that's not the reality of the choice.
They were never willing to pay a price they could not afford.

Correct. We did poll this precise question, among many others related to tolerance for gas price increases due to the Iran War.
Americans were not willing to pay higher gas prices to prevent Iran's nuclear program we allegedly destroyed a year ago.
