if you’ve been on either side of a bug bounty you know the joy in it is gone now. it’s just AI reports coming in, AI patches going out, and decreasing human understanding of either. i wonder what is left of the security industry once the fun clever hacking parts are all outsourced to AI.

This thread is even more important if CLARITY fails to pass. We need to be building defensively. Remove trust and control from the system or that trust will be the hook for regulation and criminal prosecution, sometimes warranted sometimes not.

Have been bearish on CLARITY passing for a very long time given the timing and climate in midterm season.
Even with CLARITY, it's never been more important now to build defensively, with sound first principles... user-first principles...
Regulators and politicians, definitely will not save you.

I couldn’t agree more.
America won the internet because developers were free to experiment without fearing criminal prosecution for writing code.
Yet the Roman Storm case sends the opposite message to every software developer in the world: that you can be prosecuted for creating open-source, non-custodial software because of how third parties choose to use it.
In the meantime, the SDNY has shown no sign of backing away. Instead, it has added another prosecutor and is moving full speed ahead to put Storm through a second trial.
If America wants to lead the world in blockchain and AI, it cannot continue criminalizing software development. Developers need clear legal protections, not the threat of prison for publishing code.

So is this called a hostile takeover or more akin to private equities' slash and burn model but with a dash of crypto?
Craziest thing I've seen in a while:
• Someone buys $4M worth of BONK
• Then posts a DAO proposal asking to transfer $20M in BONK to themselves
• Waits 7 days without anyone noticing
• Then votes "yes" with their own BONK holdings, and the proposal passes
• $20M is transferred to them
And now the Bonk team has suddenly realized they lost $20M.
This wasn't even a hack.
The proposal passed because no $BONK holders checked the governance forum.
