This applies to perps trading too. Goal is take asymmetric bets. When you win you win significantly more than what you lose when you’re wrong. If you only win 30% of the time but when you win it’s 3x your risk, you are profitable.

Being sidelined is a choice. If you think the bottoms in then buy. Create a plan to get exposure and then execute it. Obsession over buying the exact low, 0 drawdown, worrying about strangers on twitters opinion, all of this shit costs you money and energy.

$100K account. You grow it to $104K. You withdraw the $4K you made. At most firms your max drawdown floor jumps to $100K. Room left to be wrong: zero. One commission and you're done. Same trade at Breakout. The floor is still $94K. $94K before your payout. $94K after.

While Chud makes good points, the best time to make stupid financial decisions is while you are young. Having a McLaren at 20 is much cooler than having 1 at 40. Maybe he blows up and losses it all, but now he's just a broke 20 year old. Sure he could probably plan for his future more smartly etc, but the guy trades memecoins for a living I'm sure he's nuked much more than a McLaren's worth of value into some dogshit coins. The only asset more valuable than money is time.

I've been working very hard on this Whiteboard series over the bear market so that it would be done by the time the bull run started and new people coming into the space would have somewhere to turn to for a full comprehensive free trading series.
