Over the weekend, @US_TRANSCOM and @SOUTHCOM transported nearly 220,000 pounds of shelter and water, sanitation, and hygiene supplies from the @StateDept Miami warehouse to Colombia in support of earthquake response efforts.

Following the request of President @ABDELAESPRIELLA's Administration, the State Department has mobilized urban search-and-rescue (USAR) technical teams from Fairfax County, Virginia, and Los Angeles County, California to support Colombia's search and rescue efforts.
As the Colombian government continues to assess the needs of the Colombian people in the aftermath of this week's 7.4 magnitude earthquake, the Trump Administration remains committed to working directly with them and stands ready to offer more partner assistance.

The United States is leading the response to confront the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, remaining the largest financial contributor to this effort. Under President Trump's leadership, the Department of State continues to mobilize resources faster than any other nation. The additional $242 million announced yesterday brings our total direct assistance to the DRC, Uganda, and the broader region to over $512 million, proving that commitment continues. This funding supports preparedness and response efforts to include expanding treatment capacity, strengthening surveillance, and equipping health workers on the front lines.

The @StateDept and @Starlink continue to coordinate on international disaster response efforts. Following the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela, Starlink has sent 1,600+ kits and equipped nearly 100 organizations with fast, reliable internet to assist impacted communities. Additionally, Starlink Mobile has connected 700K+ people with free SMS, delivering 240K+ text messages. This is the private sector working hand-in-hand with the international community to save lives.
