Thinking of Jimmy Lai on June 4 at Capitol Hill. It was my honor to stand with his daughter, Claire Lai, today. As a survivor of the Tiananmen Massacre, I will always be grateful to Jimmy and the courageous people of Hong Kong for keeping alive the memory and spirit of the 1989 pro-democracy movement. Even as Jimmy endures prison, his courage continues to inspire all who fight for freedom.
